Meet Ducky and Petrie aka the Noodles

Ducky and Petrie are bonded siblings, born without their front legs. Stay Wild Rescue took them after they were dropped off at a kill shelter when their previous owner could no longer care for them. We don’t know a lot about their history but we believe they spent most of their lives outside without supportive care.

The Noodles are 2 years old and get around remarkably well on two legs. They love people, snuggles and short adventures. They have lived with other dogs and are great with children. While they live with cats, they’d do best in a home where they can live separately from kitties.

When they arrived to Stay Wild Rescue in December, they’d were extremely weak and malnourished. After months of TLC, support from our community and guidance of veterinarians and specialists, these pups are ready to roll into their forever homes… literally. Ducky and Petrie have been fitted to custom mobility carts and are building strength and stamina to support them on longer adventures and healthier lives.

The Noodles have a clean bill of health and lots of love to give. They are looking for a very special family who will continue their wheelchair training and occasionally give them a boost to flat ground (at around 20lbs each this isn’t too burdensome).
